Police arrest burglar in underwear at Toledo City port

Lapu-Lapu City police arrested Bryan Cansancio Magnanao, 34, for stealing a vault while wearing only underwear. He was caught at Toledo City port on March 15, attempting to leave Cebu for his hometown in Negros Occidental. Magnanao was identified through CCTV footage from a burglary on March 9 at a house owned by a Korean national. He admitted to the theft but claimed the vault contained only P50,000, not the P2 million reported. In addition to burglary charges, police found three sachets of suspected drugs on Magnanao. He also has a pending arrest warrant for drug-related offenses. His cousin, who was with him, faces separate charges after police found a loaded firearm in her possession.
