Police cordon established in Manchester following incident

A large police cordon has been set up in central Manchester, specifically on Palmerston Street. The area is closed off between Ancoats, Beswick, and the city center. A police forensics tent has also been placed near the roadside, close to the River Medlock and the former River Inn pub.
