Police cordon set up in Manchester city centre
A police incident took place on Thursday night, March 20, off Market Street in Manchester city centre. Authorities set up a cordon along Tib Street, near Starbucks and the Sachas Britannia hotel. Police were seen stationed at the scene, which was taped off in front of a burger kiosk. A police car was parked beside the Market Street Metrolink stop, where the area was under the tape. Tram services experienced minor delays because of the police activity. The Bee Network reported that delays affected some services on the Bury and Airport lines. Additional police vehicles were spotted nearby. However, Greater Manchester Police have not yet provided details about the incident. They have been contacted for a statement.
