Police find missing woman's half-charred body in Sundargarh

A half-charred body of a missing woman was found near a creek in Rourkela on Thursday. The police suspect she may have been murdered. Her brother has requested a thorough investigation into her death. The woman, Phulmani Munda, was 30 years old. She lived with her husband, Turi Munda, who is 43, and their two sons, aged 11 and 7, in Raikelaposh village. Phulmani went out around 3 PM on Wednesday but did not return home. Her family searched for her without success. On Thursday, they learned that her body had been discovered about one kilometer from their house. Local police took custody of the body and transferred it to the morgue at Bonai sub-divisional hospital. According to police officer P Behera, the post-mortem report will help determine the cause of death.
