Police in Itanagar seize 4.49kg of cannabis

Police in Itanagar have seized 4.497 kilograms of cannabis worth around Rs 50,000. They arrested four people connected to an organized drug network from Assam. On Saturday, police conducted a routine check at Chimpu check post. They found 1.440 kilograms of cannabis hidden under the seat of a motorcycle. Two men, Lijom Dulom, 20, and Bhai Dobin, 19, were arrested. During questioning, they revealed they got the drugs from Tokobari in Assam. This led police to conduct a follow-up operation. On March 20, officers arrested two more suspects, Narayan Mahanand, 25, and Sanjay Kumar, 23, both from Assam's Boroi Bagan. In total, police seized 3.057 kilograms of cannabis, two mobile phones, and a motorcycle during the operation.
