Police investigate suspicious object near power pole in Sacramento

Sacramento Police are investigating a suspicious object tied to a power pole at 65th Street and Jansen Drive. The object resembles an oxygen or propane tank and was reported around 9 a.m. on Sunday. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team is on site to assess the situation. There is no shelter-in-place or lockdown order for the area. The 65th Street Expressway is closed from Fruitridge Road to McMahon Drive. Motorists are advised to find alternate routes.
