Police kill kidnapper, rescue trader in Shillong

Police shot and killed a kidnapper and arrested three others during a rescue operation for a cattle trader in Shillong on Friday. The police responded to a complaint about the abduction of Ruvi Hussain and another man, Nazimuddin Sheik. The complaint was made by Ruvi’s son, Rasik Hussain, on March 20th. Following the report, police teams and special forces began searching for the suspects. They found the kidnappers’ hideout in Dipogre Asim Chiring. During the operation, the suspects fired on the police. In response, the police returned fire. Two of the kidnappers were injured and captured. Ruvi Hussain was rescued safely during the operation.
