Police seek gunman after Huddersfield shooting incident

Police are searching for a gunman after a shooting in Edgerton on Friday night. A man was shot, and authorities are now looking for a specific black car. West Yorkshire Police believe the suspects used a dark people carrier-type vehicle, possibly a Nissan Qashqai or Juke. They have noted that the suspects arrived at Queens Road in this vehicle before the shooting. One suspect exited the car, shot the man at close range, and then returned to the vehicle, which drove off toward A629 Edgerton Road. Detective Chief Inspector James Entwistle addressed the community, saying this incident is shocking for local residents. He emphasized that a full investigation is underway. The police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the vehicle in the area to come forward. Increased police patrols are now present in the Queens Road area to reassure locals.
