Police seek 'Night Watcher' in Kent jewelry heist

Police are searching for a masked robber known as the 'Night Watcher' after he violently attacked a 63-year-old woman. This incident happened during a £1.5 million jewellery heist near Sevenoaks in Kent. New CCTV footage shows the robber approaching the woman in her garden. He is seen waving a gun and demanding her keys. The victim’s screams can be heard as he forces her into her garage and then into her house to open safes. During this terrifying encounter, he pistol-whipped her, causing severe injuries. The robbery took place in June last year. The man escaped with more than 50 pieces of jewellery, including rings and watches. The woman's husband found her tied up one hour later. She described the scene as horrifying and expressed fear that the robber could attack again. Detectives believe this suspect may be linked to other burglaries in Kent and surrounding areas, totaling over £600,000 in stolen items. They have noted similarities in his methods and are analyzing his voice from the video to gather more clues about his identity. The police have urged anyone with information, particularly about the audio clip released, to come forward. A reward of £10,000 is being offered for information leading to the suspect's arrest. The victim and her husband have shared their distress over the attack, describing how it has impacted their sense of safety in their own home. Investigators are working with the National Crime Agency to track down the 'Night Watcher' and prevent further crimes.
