Police watchdog investigates Brampton two-vehicle collision
A man was injured in a two-vehicle crash in Brampton early Tuesday morning. The accident occurred around 6:20 a.m. at the intersection of Torbram Road and Peter Robertson Boulevard. Peel police quickly responded to the scene after receiving reports of the collision. The injured man was taken to a trauma centre but is expected to recover from his non-life-threatening injuries. The province's police watchdog, the SIU, has begun an investigation into the incident. As a result, roads in the area have been closed. Torbram Road is closed in both directions from Bovaird Drive to Eagleridge Drive, and Peter Robertson Boulevard is also closed from Poppy Bloom Avenue to Eagleridge Drive. Authorities advise drivers to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
