Pope Francis has appointed the Most Reverend Jeffrey S. Grob as the new Archbishop of Milwaukee. Grob, 63, will succeed Jerome E. Listecki, who retired on his 75th birthday. Grob is currently an auxiliary bishop in Chicago and was ordained in 2020. He will be installed on January 14, 2025, and will oversee the spiritual care of Catholics in southeastern Wisconsin. Grob, who grew up in Wisconsin, expressed gratitude for the appointment and looks forward to serving the community.
