Postmedia appoints Jason Kenney and Terrie O’Leary to board

Postmedia Network Canada Corp. has appointed Jason Kenney and Terrie O’Leary to its Board of Directors. The company expressed excitement about the new additions. Peter Sharpe, the Chair of the Board, believes their experience will benefit Postmedia's stakeholders. Jason Kenney is a well-known Canadian politician. He recently finished a 25-year career in public service, including serving as the Premier of Alberta from 2019 to 2022. Kenney has also held various cabinet positions in the federal government and currently works as a Senior Advisor at Bennett Jones LLP. He is also on the board of ATCO Ltd. Terrie O’Leary has a strong background in executive roles. She has served as the Executive Vice President of Business Strategy & Operations at Toronto Global. O’Leary previously worked as Interim President and CEO of Invest Toronto and served as a board member at the World Bank. Additionally, she was Chief of Staff to Canada’s Minister of Finance in the 1990s. The appointments are effective immediately. They follow the decision of Vince Gasparro and Daniel Rotstein not to run for re-election at the recent annual general meeting.
