£5 train tickets to Kent and East Sussex available
In April, train travel to the seaside in the UK will be more affordable. Southeastern Railway is offering £5 Advance tickets to celebrate 200 years of railways in the UK. This promotion runs on April 5 and 6 for those traveling to Kent, East Sussex, and London. Starting March 22, 10,000 tickets will be available to purchase exclusively through the Southeastern website and app. This deal is part of the Southeastern Network Weekend, inspired by previous offers from the 80s and 90s. It also aligns with Visit Kent’s Kent Big Weekend, where locals can enjoy free entry to numerous attractions. Steve White, the managing director at Southeastern, shared that this initiative allows customers to explore beautiful areas in Kent at a low cost. This promotion supports tourism and encourages sustainable travel. Visit Kent’s CEO, Deirdre Wells OBE, expressed excitement about the partnership with Southeastern. She highlighted that this collaboration provides great value for local residents and a chance to enjoy the best that Kent has to offer. For assistance, customers can contact Southeastern Customer Services or visit a ticket office. Tickets have terms and conditions and are valid only on selected routes. More information can be found on the Southeastern website or its app starting March 22.
