Prince William modernizes Duchy of Cornwall for inheritance
Prince William is working to prepare Prince George for his future inheritance. He aims to make a positive impact during his time as Prince of Wales. Following in his father King Charles’s footsteps, William focuses on sustainability and environmental issues for future generations. William took over the Duchy of Cornwall in September 2022 when Charles became king. This estate will eventually be handed down to George. William is making significant changes to the property to serve as a role model for his children. King Charles wanted to create vibrant communities with homes, shops, and leisure spaces. William plans to modernize these ideas. He has plans to build homes for the homeless and is reviewing renewable energy options for the estate. This comes amid criticism over the monarchy's financial practices. William has also decided to end some old restrictions on land ownership. When he becomes king, George will inherit the Duchy, which covers 135,000 acres. This includes the Nansledan Estate in Cornwall, near the popular town of Newquay.
