Printemps opens first U.S. store on Wall Street

Printemps, a luxury retailer from France, has opened its first store in the United States on Wall Street. The grand opening took place on March 21, accompanied by a star-studded celebration. The new Printemps store occupies 4,365 square feet over two levels in a historic 56-story building at 1 Wall Street. This building has been a landmark since it opened in 1931. The store is designed to give shoppers an immersive experience similar to its locations in France, with distinct areas for women's and men's fashion, as well as footwear. Printemps aims to create a local experience, combining high-end fashion with culinary offerings. Chef Gregory Gourdet, a New York native, has curated various dining options, including an all-day café, a raw bar, and a Champagne Bar. The store features a unique blend of French and American design, with hand-painted details by architect Laura Gonzalez. Printemps CEO Jean-Marc Bellaiche mentioned that New York's cultural diversity makes it an ideal location for them to expand. Laura Lendrum leads Printemps America Inc., bringing her experience from brands like Saint Laurent and Gucci. The store also offers various complimentary services, including personal shopping, makeup consultations, and spa services.
