Clayton Cardenas and JR Bourne, known for their roles in Mayans M.C., are joining the cast of the new Prison Break reboot on Hulu. Cardenas will play a character named Ghost, who is described as a dangerous inmate. Bourne will take on the role of Junior, a mentally unstable survivor of a historic prison break. In Mayans M.C., Cardenas portrayed Angel Reyes, while Bourne played the villain Isaac. Cardenas has also appeared in Netflix’s The Abandons, and Bourne has credits in several popular shows like Teen Wolf and Fringe. Other cast members include Georgie Flores and Myles Bullock. Flores will play Andrea, a cadet training to be a corrections officer, and Bullock will portray Darius “Red” Lewis, one of the inmates. The original Prison Break aired for four seasons from 2005 to 2009. A revival aired in 2017, but this new series will stand alone. It is being produced by Elgin James, a co-creator of Mayans M.C. Although the pilot episode has been ordered, Hulu has not yet committed to a full season. All five seasons of the original series are currently available to stream on Hulu and Netflix.
