Producers of Bob Dylan biopic plan film about Syd Barrett

The producers of the Bob Dylan biopic "A Complete Unknown" are developing a film about Syd Barrett, the founder of Pink Floyd. Producer Peter Jaysen confirmed they are also in talks to acquire rights for a movie about Cass Elliot from The Mamas & The Papas. Jaysen's company, Veritas Entertainment, is collaborating with writer-director Wash Westmoreland on the Barrett project. They have had discussions with Elliot's estate and her daughter regarding her story. "A Complete Unknown" opened in U.S. theaters on Christmas Day and has received positive reviews. Timothée Chalamet stars as Dylan and has been praised for his performance.
