A public celebration of life for Winnipeg Sea Bears centre Chad Posthumus will take place on December 6 at 3:30 p.m. at Springs Church. Posthumus passed away on November 20 from a stroke after surgery for a brain aneurysm. Posthumus, 33, was the Sea Bears' first signing and served as team captain for two years. His family requests donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation instead of flowers. A book of condolences is available on the Sea Bears' website for those wishing to pay their respects.
