Pug Vito makes history as first to win Best in Show at National Dog Show 2024
Vito, a 2-year-old pug from North Carolina, made history by winning Best in Show at the 2024 National Dog Show, becoming the first pug to achieve this title. He competed against around 2,000 dogs at the event held on November 16 and 17. Vito has won 25 Best in Show titles throughout his career, including Best of Breed at the Westminster Dog Show earlier this year. His owner and handlers expressed their excitement over his achievements and popularity. The National Dog Show featured a record 205 breeds this year, including a new breed, the Lancashire Heeler. The event continues to be a Thanksgiving tradition, attracting millions of viewers each year.
