Pujari assesses hailstorm damage in Mayurbhanj district

Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari visited Mayurbhanj district on Sunday to see the damage from a recent hailstorm and rain. He was accompanied by Housing and Urban Development Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra. Together, they toured affected villages and promised prompt compensation. Pujari mentioned he received early reports about the destruction of houses and crops due to the severe weather. He assured residents that compensation would be sent quickly to their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts. Those without bank accounts would receive cash payments. The minister spoke with local officials about the extent of the damage. He emphasized that the government is working hard to deliver aid. Pujari also said that for people whose homes cannot be fixed, support would be available through the housing scheme to help them get a new home.
