Pune police investigating constable for alleged misconduct

Pune: District rural police have started an inquiry into a constable's behavior at a local eatery. This follows an incident on Friday when the constable reportedly disrupted the establishment. The mess operator recorded a video of the policeman and shared it online. He works at the Uruli Kanchan police station and was off duty at the time. According to reports, he visited the eatery while under the influence of alcohol. Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh confirmed the inquiry. He noted that the constable often visits the mess for meals. Some claims suggest he demanded sexual favors from the woman operator, but initial findings do not support this. The investigation is ongoing, and appropriate actions will be taken based on the results.
