Prabha Vishranti Gruha, an 85-year-old snack shop in Pune, has a rich history as a meeting place for freedom fighters. Established in 1940, it is known for its signature batata vadas, served without bread or chutney. The shop's batata wadas are distinct for their soft potato filling and unique preparation. Other offerings include sabudana wada and misal rassa, catering to various dietary preferences. Now run by the fourth generation of the Paranjpe family, Prabha Vishranti Gruha continues to use traditional recipes and methods, attracting loyal customers without advertising.
