Punjab minister's US trip denied by Ministry of External Affairs
The Union Ministry of External Affairs has denied permission for Punjab Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian to travel to the United States. The trip was planned from March 29 to April 6, with costs covered by Punjab's Livestock Development Board. Khudian stated that the ministry did not provide any reasons for the refusal. He plans to write to the ministry again to request permission for the trip. The delegation included animal husbandry department officials, Principal Secretary Rahul Bhandari and Director GS Bedi. They were set to visit a laboratory of ABS Global in Wisconsin to sign an agreement. Khudian mentioned that the letter for permission was sent earlier this month, but after a week, the ministry replied that clearance could not be given.
