Punjab police seek community support to combat drug issue
Khanna police in Punjab are on a mission to eliminate drugs from the state. They recently held meetings in 66 villages to gather support from local communities. During these meetings, SSP Jyoti Yadav Bains spoke to village defense committees, sarpanches, and villagers. The discussions were part of the government’s campaign, ‘Yudh Nasheyan Virudh’, aimed at raising awareness and encouraging community involvement. SSP Bains urged villagers to report any drug peddlers or addicts they know. She emphasized the police's dedication to dismantling drug trafficking networks and helping addicts through rehabilitation programs. Bains highlighted the importance of community effort in this fight against drugs. She believes that everyone has a moral duty to help save the youth from drug addiction. Together, they can make Punjab a drug-free and healthier state.
