Police in Hazaribag district have arrested a smuggler from Punjab who was transporting a large quantity of doda, a substance made from dry poppy pods. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Karamveer Singh, was caught in a truck carrying 1,793 kg of doda packed in 102 plastic bags. To disguise the load, the doda was mixed with iron billets. Although Singh attempted to flee, he was apprehended and admitted to his involvement in the crime. During questioning, Singh stated that he was driving the doda from Khunti to Ismailbad village in Haryana.
