Puppy found injured, suspected hunting victim in Missouri

A dog named Lucky Charm was found in Missouri with an arrow stuck in his neck and a bullet in his abdomen. Rescuers believe he was being hunted. The one-year-old puppy was discovered in East Prairie and was quickly brought to Stray Rescue of Saint Louis for urgent care. On March 18, the rescue organization shared details about Lucky Charm's condition on Facebook. They provided pain medication and found the arrow was dangerously close to his spine and esophagus. The dog was named Lucky Charm for his hopeful future despite his past suffering. Veterinarians soon realized that removing the arrow would require complex surgery. The rescue sent Lucky Charm to a specialist, ensuring he was comfortable and cared for during transport. After the surgery, the arrow was removed, and he is now recovering well. Stray Rescue reported that Lucky Charm is eating and healing but is not fully out of danger yet. They thanked supporters for their love and contributions toward his medical expenses.
