PWHL announces game in Buffalo as part of new neutral site schedule
The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) has announced a new schedule featuring neutral site games, including a match in Buffalo on February 23, 2024. This marks the return of women’s pro hockey to the city after the Beauts left. The "Takeover Tour" includes games in six U.S. cities and two Canadian locations, expanding the league's reach. Each of the six teams will play at least two neutral site games this season, increasing the total games from 24 to 30. The PWHL is also considering future neutral site games in Europe and plans to expand by up to two teams by the 2025-26 season. The league's second season begins on November 30, 2024.
