Qatar Airways expands European routes with British Airways
Qatar Airways and British Airways have expanded their partnership with new codeshare routes. Starting on March 30, British Airways will offer flights from London Heathrow to five European cities using Qatar Airways’ designator codes. The new routes include Berlin, Milan, Munich, Paris, and Rome. Qatar Airways plans to operate 102 weekly flights from Doha to these cities in April. This includes multiple flights each day to Berlin, Paris, Milan, Rome, and Munich. Qatar Airways is looking to increase its presence in Germany despite recent political challenges related to a corruption scandal. Currently, London remains its top European destination, with high flight frequency to both Heathrow and Gatwick airports. In addition to the new European routes, British Airways will also codeshare on four other destinations served by Qatar Airways. These include Bermuda, Barbados, Doha, and Nassau. Overall, this partnership aims to enhance connectivity for travelers between Europe and the Middle East. It is part of a larger collaboration within the oneworld airline alliance, which also includes Iberia, another airline expanding its services with Qatar Airways.
