Queens University defeats Northern Arizona in CBI first round
Chris Ashby helped Queens University win against Northern Arizona by scoring 22 points. The final score was 85-78 in the first round of the College Basketball Invitational (CBI) Tournament. The game took place at the Ocean Center in Daytona Beach, Florida. Queens University, known as the Royals, advanced to the quarterfinals. They will face Cleveland State on Monday. Ashby had a good shooting night, making 7 of 15 shots, including 6 of 12 from beyond the arc. Yoav Berman contributed with 16 points, making four 3-pointers. Leo Colimerio also scored 12 points in the game. For Northern Arizona, Jayden Jackson was the top scorer with 23 points and led with three steals. Carson Towt had a strong performance as well, scoring 22 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. Trenton McLaughlin added 15 points and six rebounds for the Lumberjacks.
