Rachael Blackmore dedicates Cheltenham win to late cousin
Rachael Blackmore won the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival, dedicating her victory to her cousin Robert, who recently passed away. This win marks her first of the festival and her 18th career win at Cheltenham. Blackmore rode the 16/1 outsider Air Of Entitlement, which narrowly defeated the favorite, Sixandahalf. She expressed her emotions about the win and the significance of the day, as her cousin's funeral was held the same day. The race experienced a false start when a horse faced the wrong way at the beginning. Blackmore is set to compete later in the festival on two other horses, Envoi Allen and Bob Olinger.
