Radisson Blu Nashik launches India Wine Studio showcase
Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa in Nashik has opened the India Wine Studio, showcasing a selection of wines from around 35 vineyards. Nashik, known as India's Napa Valley, is home to famous wineries like Sula and Chandon and is located a few hours from Mumbai. The studio features over 90 varieties of wine, celebrating the local winemaking scene. The India Wine Studio was launched during a two-day wine trail event. Jatish Ghai, the hotel’s general manager, said the aim is to highlight Nashik's many vineyards. Although Sula is famous for its wine tourism, other wineries like Vallonné, Chandon, and Grover Zampa also offer tours and tastings. During a recent wine tasting event, guests sampled wines from notable brands including a rosé from Chandon and a Cabernet Sauvignon from Sula. The hotel also provides the option to book a two-day wine trail, allowing guests to visit two vineyards of their choice and learn about the winemaking process. Vallonné Vineyards, a boutique estate established in 2009, is known for its high-quality wines, including Anokhee Cabernet Sauvignon. Chandon India, part of the luxury group Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, produces several sparkling wines and offers informative tours led by their winemaker. The Indian wine industry is growing steadily, with an increased focus on education about wine. Experts believe that as more people learn about winemaking, the market will expand. Currently valued at $175 million, the Indian wine industry is projected to reach $440 million by 2028. Nashik plays a crucial role in this development, aiming to raise awareness and appreciation for local wines.
