Ubisoft has announced that the upcoming game, Rainbow Six Siege X, will be free-to-play when it launches on June 10, 2025. This new version will introduce a fresh game mode, an exclusive map, and various enhancements to improve the overall experience. Current players of Rainbow Six Siege will retain all their content. This includes skins, Operators, and other items they have earned or purchased over the years. They will also continue to have access to competitive modes like Ranked and Siege Cup. New players, however, will have a different experience. They will start with limited access and must reach player level 50 to unlock additional Operators. To enjoy competitive modes, newcomers will need to upgrade to a Premium edition. While new players can access game modes such as Dual Front, Quick Play, and Unranked for free, the free version will initially offer 10 Operators. Players can increase this number to 26 through in-game progression.
