Rajahmundry student wins IASc Summer Research Internship

Pudi Sai Shreeya, a student at Government Arts College in Rajahmundry, has been awarded a Summer Research Internship for 2025. She will focus on her research regarding stem cell therapy for neurodegenerative disorders. Shreeya is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree. She will conduct her research at the Indian Academy of Sciences (IASc) in Bengaluru for two months. Her internship will be supervised by Ashima Bhattacharjee, a mentor from Amity University in Kolkata. The principal of Government Arts College, R.K. Ramachandra, praised her achievement and emphasized the significance of this opportunity. Supportive faculty members, including B. Nageswari, who heads the biotechnology department, also recognized Shreeya's hard work in securing this internship.
