Rajasthan Royals aim to replicate Indian team's success
Rahul Dravid and Vikram Rathour are back together, this time as coaches for the Rajasthan Royals. They previously worked as a successful team for the Indian national cricket team, leading them to a T20 World Cup victory last year. Rathour expressed confidence that they can replicate this success in the Indian Premier League. Rathour spoke at a media event alongside the Royals' spin bowling coach, Sairaj Bahutule. He noted that coaching at the national level and the franchise level is quite similar. They are optimistic about using their experience to help the Royals perform well this season. Despite Dravid's injury, Rathour praised his commitment to the team. He mentioned that Dravid is still finding time to guide the players. Rathour believes the Royals have a strong group of talented domestic players and an exciting batting lineup. Bahutule defended the team's bowling attack, which some critics say is lacking. He argued that they have a well-rounded bowling unit, particularly with skilled spinners like Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana. The fast bowling lineup features notable players, including Jofra Archer and Kwena Maphaka. Rathour also mentioned the wicketkeeping strategy, stating that Sanju Samson and Dhruv Jurel will share the duties based on conditions and opposition. He highlighted that all players, including a promising 13-year-old talent named Vaibhav Suryavanshi, are ready for the upcoming season. Both coaches assured fans that the team has trained thoroughly and is prepared for the challenges ahead in the IPL.
