Rajasthan State Contract Bridge Championship starts March 22

The 41st Rajasthan State Contract Bridge Championship is set to take place on March 22 and 23 at the Jaipur Club. About 20 teams will compete in this two-day event. Among the teams, the Rajputana team is the defending champion, having recently won the Team of Four events. Dr. Neeraj Kumar Pawan, president of the Rajasthan Sports Council, will officially open the tournament on Saturday morning at 9:30 AM. Key figures like Jaipur Club president Manoj Birla and secretary Vishal Kaushal will also join the inauguration. The competition will feature a Team of Four event for the TC Agarwal Trophy and a pair event for the BN Toshniwal Trophy. Notably, the Geological Survey of India team from Jaipur will participate for the first time. Prominent players include KP Mathur, NK Sharma, and Som Mittal from Rajputana, while other notable players come from various cities, including Kota, Bikaner, and Udaipur. Among the female competitors, Sushma Aggarwal and Suniti Rathore are expected to be strong contenders.
