Rajasthan Sub-Inspector arrested for exam cheating

A Sub-Inspector in Rajasthan has been arrested for cheating on her recruitment exam using a Bluetooth device. Monika, who ranked 34th in the 2021 recruitment exam, caught the attention of the Special Operations Group (SOG) after submitting a poorly written leave application. The SOG investigated her case after concerns were raised about her competence due to spelling errors in her application. Monika had scored impressively in the exam, obtaining 184 out of 200 in the Hindi section. However, her inability to spell basic words like "inspector" and "document" drew suspicion. Further investigation revealed that Monika had cheated during the exam at an Ajmer testing center. She was found to have paid Rs 15 lakh to a man named Paurav Kaleer for answers. While she performed well on paper, she scored only 15 marks in the interview. Monika was on medical leave from June 5 to July 2, 2024, but did not provide any medical records. Her handwritten application to rejoin the police force on November 11, 2024, was filled with spelling mistakes. This led to her confession about the cheating scheme and ultimately her arrest after Kaleer was detained.
