Rajesh Kumar appointed Congress head in Bihar

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has appointed Rajesh Kumar as the new president of the Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee. This change is effective immediately. Rajesh Kumar replaces Akhilesh Prasad Singh, who previously held the position. This decision comes as the assembly elections approach later this year. The Congress party expressed its appreciation for the work of Akhilesh Prasad Singh. Just a few weeks ago, the party also named Krishna Allavaru as the new AICC in-charge of Bihar. The assembly polls will see the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan, which includes Congress, aiming to take power from the NDA in Bihar.
