Rakesh Roshan fears harm from his security guards
Rakesh Roshan, a well-known actor and director, recently shared his fears about his security after a violent incident in 2000. This happened shortly after the release of his son's debut film, "Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai." He was shot by attackers, which deeply affected his family. After the attack, Rakesh was given armed security guards to protect him. However, instead of feeling secure, he became anxious that the guards could harm him. He expressed his concern, saying that he felt like an open target, even with guards around him. He thought if someone wanted to do him harm, the guards might not be able to help. Rakesh described feeling claustrophobic due to the constant presence of his security personnel. Even during simple activities like walking on the beach, he said the guards made him feel trapped. Eventually, he decided to ask for the security detail to be removed, stating he was fine on his own. Rakesh Roshan has received recognition for his work, including an Outstanding Achievement Award at the IIFA 2025. He has directed many famous films and recently appeared in a docu-series about his family on Netflix.
