Rakesh Roshan steps down as Krrish 4 director

Rakesh Roshan has confirmed that he will not direct the upcoming film Krrish 4. He stated, "I have to pass on the baton." This decision comes as he feels the need to oversee the production with clarity and ensure everything aligns with his vision. Fans of the Krrish franchise have been eagerly waiting for updates since the last movie was released in 2013. Rakesh had previously mentioned he would announce Krrish 4 soon but clarified that he won’t direct it. Karan Malhotra was expected to take the lead on the project. However, recent reports indicate that Krrish 4 has been delayed. The film’s budget is approximately Rs 700 crore, creating financial challenges for the production company, Marflix. There is uncertainty surrounding the project's future, especially after Siddharth Anand, the producer, stepped back, leading to Karan Malhotra also leaving the project. Despite the buzz around the budget, sources have called these figures "completely untrue." The Krrish franchise began with Koi Mil Gaya in 2003 and continued to Krrish and Krrish 3, featuring Hrithik Roshan and other prominent actors.
