Ralph Batican leads boys' 13-14 division by 10 shots

Ralph Batican is leading the boys' 13-14 division in the Uswing Mojing Junior World Golf Qualifying tournament held in Santa Rosa, Laguna. Despite facing tough weather with rain and wind, he shot a six-over-par 78 on Thursday. This performance gave him a significant 10-shot advantage after 36 holes. In the girls' 13-14 division, the competition is much tighter. Lisa Sarines has narrowed the gap with leader Johanna Uyking to just one stroke. Sarines finished the round with a score of 73 while Uyking struggled with a 75. The tournament allows for four Junior World spots in each age category, but only the division winners will receive free airfare to the prestigious event in San Diego this July. The pressure is high as the top 10 players in each category move on to the final round. In the girls' 15-18 category, Reese Ng and Alessandra Luciano are tied after both players scored 76 and 81 respectively. Both will head into the final round with a total score of 160. Ally Gaccion is close behind in third place. The three-day qualifiers have drawn strong support from the National Golf Association and other sponsors. Batican's strong showing has put him in a favorable position, and he remains confident going into the final day. He has previously won twice at The Country Club and is hoping for another victory.
