Ramu Kale finds success as living statue of Mahatma Gandhi in Pune

Ramu Kale, a 32-year-old man from Kolhapur, has transformed his life by becoming a living statue of Mahatma Gandhi on Fergusson College Road in Pune. After struggling with various odd jobs, he found success in performance art. Kale, who supports his wife and four young children, earns between Rs 500-600 daily by standing still as Gandhi. He prepares each day by painting himself and dressing in traditional attire. He has also opened a bank account for donations. Now renting a room in Nana Peth, Kale expresses gratitude for having a stable home for the first time. His goal is to provide education for his children to help them secure better futures.
