Randi Mahomes shares emotional quilt gift for Patrick
Randi Mahomes, the mother of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, shared a heartfelt gift she made for him during his college days. Over the weekend, she posted a video on social media showing a quilt she crafted while Patrick played at Texas A&M. The quilt features logos and jerseys from all the sports teams Patrick played for as a child. Before becoming an NFL star, he excelled in baseball, basketball, and football during high school in Tyler, Texas. In the video, Randi spoke about the quilt, saying she gave it to Patrick but took it back out of fear he might lose it. Randi described the quilt as a nostalgic piece, filled with memories of Patrick's journey in sports. She expressed pride in the dedication and hard work that the quilt represents. Fans were touched by her post, commenting on the special memories each shirt holds. Patrick is the son of former MLB pitcher Patrick Sr., who inspired his baseball skills. However, Patrick chose to pursue football, leading to his selection by the Chiefs in the 2017 NFL Draft. Randi has been a constant supporter throughout his career, attending many of his games, including three Super Bowl victories. Recently, she attended the Chiefs' Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, even while dealing with her father's illness, who sadly passed away shortly after the game. Randi’s dedication to her son and their shared memories continue to resonate with fans.
