Rasna targets 30% growth in 2025-26 across India
Rasna, a well-known instant drink maker, is targeting 30% growth in the fiscal year 2025-26. The growth will be driven by increasing demand in quick commerce, urban areas, and exports. The Chairman, Piruz Khambatta, shared these plans during a recent interview. The company plans to invest between Rs 45-50 crore in a new manufacturing plant in Patna. This facility will produce litchi concentrates. Rasna recently launched a new fruit drink powder, which is richer and thicker, to compete in India's fruit drink market, valued at Rs 20,000 crore. Khambatta noted that quick commerce and e-commerce are both experiencing rapid growth. Quick commerce is becoming more popular, even as traditional retail sees less competition. Growth in the rural market is expected to be around 7-8%, while urban areas could see growth rates of 30-40% due to the new product. Exports are also an important part of Rasna's strategy. The company has doubled exports since the COVID-19 pandemic and now sells to over 60 countries. In India, Rasna aims to expand its retail reach to 100,000 outlets by adding more distributors. Though the company will not take on new projects in the coming fiscal year, the new plant in Patna will have a production capacity of 2 million cases annually. Khambatta hinted at further expansion abroad and the development of new products in the future.
