Raut denies BJP's claims on Aaditya Thackeray's involvement

On Sunday, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut denied claims made by BJP MP Narayan Rane regarding a supposed attempt to cover up Aaditya Thackeray's involvement in the death of Disha Salian. Raut called Rane’s statements a tactic to damage the Thackeray family's reputation. Rane had said he received a call from Uddhav Thackeray's personal assistant. The assistant allegedly asked him not to mention Aaditya Thackeray in relation to Salian's death. Disha Salian, a celebrity manager, died in 2020 after falling from a building in Malad. Raut criticized the BJP for what he called "politics of death," accusing them of exploiting tragedies for political gain. He mentioned that both Uddhav Thackeray and his assistant denied having any such conversation with Rane. Raut expressed concern that political attacks were affecting families, which he said was not common in Maharashtra before. In another matter, regarding the investigation into actor Sushant Singh Rajput's death, lawyer Nilesh Ojha stated that the Central Bureau of Investigation's closure report, which cleared actor Rhea Chakraborty, does not end the possibility of further investigation. Ojha noted that the court could still decide to reopen the case, similar to past high-profile cases. Rajput's death remains a subject of public interest in Mumbai.
