Ravindra Jadeja aims for historic IPL all-rounder milestone

Ravindra Jadeja is all set to return to the field for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the opening match of IPL 2025. This exciting game is scheduled for March 23, where CSK will face the Mumbai Indians. Jadeja is about to make history. He is just 41 runs away from becoming the first all-rounder in IPL history to reach 3000 runs and take 150 wickets. He has played 240 matches in the tournament since his debut in 2008, accumulating 2959 runs and 160 wickets. His IPL journey began with the Rajasthan Royals, where he played under the famous Shane Warne. After stints with teams like Kochi Tuskers Kerala and Gujarat Lions, he joined CSK in 2012. Jadeja briefly captained CSK in 2022 but stepped down mid-season as the team struggled. Despite these challenges, Jadeja remained an important player and helped CSK win their fifth IPL title in 2023. Ahead of the IPL 2025 mega-auction, both Jadeja and teammate Ruturaj Gaikwad were retained by CSK for Rs 18 crore each. Former captain MS Dhoni was also retained for Rs 4 crore in the uncapped category.
