The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has announced that light to moderate rain, along with thunderstorms and lightning, is expected in isolated areas of the state until March 25. The forecast also includes gusty winds, which may reach speeds of 40 to 50 km/h in some regions. This change in weather is attributed to a weather system stretching from Karnataka to south Tamil Nadu at a height of 1.5 km above mean sea level. A trough that was noted across parts of Karnataka and Telangana has weakened.
