Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan announced plans to transform the Rayalaseema region into "Ratanalaseema." He stated that the government is dedicated to developing the area with a detailed plan. During a program to build 155,000 farm ponds, Kalyan emphasized that these ponds will supply water to farmers until larger projects are completed. He noted that the current government aims to strengthen local governance and create job opportunities in rural areas, unlike the previous YSRCP government. Kalyan promised financial support through the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS). He criticized the previous administration for misusing this scheme and assured that it would be managed more efficiently now. He shared that Kurnool district is leading in development initiatives under the "Palle Pandaga" program. The Deputy Chief Minister also mentioned plans to construct farm ponds and bunds to help farmers with water storage. So far, over ₹9,597 crore has been spent to provide employment to rural workers. Kalyan plans to visit every Assembly constituency soon to engage with the people and understand their needs.
