Reading Fightin Phils' games to stream live locally

The Reading Fightin Phils will have all their home games broadcast live on 830WEEU.com this season. This partnership with 830 AM WEEU covers all 69 home games. Each broadcast will begin 15 minutes before the game starts, featuring a pre-game show. Post-game coverage will follow the final out. Broadcasters Jake Starr and Bob McCool will return for their third season. McCool has been a familiar voice in local sports since 1990, covering high school basketball and football. He recently joined the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame for his contributions to sports commentary in the area. Starr works as the Director of PR/Media Relations for the Fightin Phils and also broadcasts games, providing multimedia content. Starr expressed excitement about the expanded partnership with WEEU. He thanked the station and its team for their support in making the broadcasts possible. WEEU is the only locally-owned radio station in Reading and has a long history of serving the community with sports coverage. The Fightin Phils will play their first game on WEEU on April 1 against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws in a pre-season exhibition. Their season opener at FirstEnergy Stadium is scheduled for April 4 against the Portland Sea Dogs at 6:45 p.m. Tickets for the games are available for purchase online and at the stadium box office.
