Real Madrid targets Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen
Real Madrid is reportedly targeting Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen as their top choice for a new center-back. The team sees him as a more affordable option compared to other players like William Saliba and Ibrahima Konate. The decision comes as Madrid plans for the next season after facing several injury problems this year. Key players Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba have missed many games, and Eder Militao will be out for the rest of the season due to a serious knee injury. Huijsen, who is just 19 years old, has recently received his first call-up to Spain's senior national team. His strong performances with Bournemouth played a role in this selection. The club aims to strengthen their defensive lineup, which has struggled this season. Madrid has also expressed interest in Saliba and Konate but considers them backup options if Huijsen's signing does not go through. It is believed that Huijsen could be signed for around £50 million due to a release clause in his contract. Bournemouth will face challenges in keeping their talented players, especially if they qualify for the Champions League next season. Huijsen has had a promising season, starting 18 out of 23 Premier League games and scoring two goals.
