Red-tailed hawk rescued from trampoline in Parma Heights
A large red-tailed hawk got stuck in a trampoline in a backyard on Beverly Drive in Parma Heights, Ohio. On March 4, a concerned resident alerted the police about the hawk's situation. An animal control officer arrived and helped free the bird, which had some head injuries. The officer took the hawk to the Lake Erie Nature Center, where it was suspected to have bird flu. To ensure the bird received proper care, it was then sent to Emerald Animal Hospital for further treatment. On the same day, police responded to a disturbance at City Hall. An 80-year-old resident was refusing to leave the lobby after arguing with a clerk about a traffic ticket. The officer told him he could only return if he had an appointment, or else he could face arrest for trespassing. Another disturbance occurred at a Hertz rental agency on Pearl Road. A customer was acting disruptively and was found to be banned from all Hertz locations. Additionally, police received reports of theft. One resident on Ridgewood Drive said someone used their EBT card for unauthorized purchases. There are currently no suspects in this case, and the investigation is ongoing. A Lawndale Drive resident also reported a man trespassing on their property, and police advised the suspect about the issue. On Stumph Road, another resident found items missing from outside their home, and that case is also under investigation.
